Pomalid 4mg Capsule is in a class of medications called immunomodulatory agents. It works by helping the bone marrow to produce normal blood cells and by killing abnormal cells in the bone marrow.

USES:Pomalid is used to treat multiple myeloma (cancer resulting from a progressive blood disease/blood cancer). It is for people who have already had at least 2 other treatments, including lenalidomide and bortezomib, that are no longer working.

When is prescribed ?

Pomalid is used with another medication to treat multiple myeloma (a type of cancer that affects white blood cells).

How Does Pomalid 4mg Capsule Work ?

As an immunomodulatory medication, Pomalid enhances the action of your immune system.
• This medicine helps prevent the growth of blood vessels and abnormal cells.
• When given with another medicine called dexamethasone, it stimulates the immune system to attack the cancer cells and stops the formation of blood vessels supplying cancer cells.
