Adult- The total daily dose for adults should not exceed 0.5 mgkgday. Child- The usual dose is 2 mg (12 tablet) two or three times a day. It comes as a tablet, capsule and syrup to take by mouth, with or without food.

Common side effects of Cyproheptadine :

Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. – Belly pain. – Dry mouth. Good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, may help. See a dentist often.
